Montmorillonite Clay. Also referred to as Bentonite Clay. Derived from volcanic ash. Montmorillonite Clay is sedimentary clay composed of weathered and aged volcanic ash. Once hydrated, the electrical and molecular components of the clay rapidly change and produce an "electrical charge" which attracts and absorbs toxins, impurities, heavy metals and other contaminants from the skin and then traps them in the interior center of the clay. It is an absolutely superb primary ingredient for a highly effective clay masque.
